MRI Scan

Our 1.5T Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scan represents a state-of-the-art diagnostic procedure that uses a strong magnetic field and radio waves to create detailed 3D anatomical images.

Unlike X-rays or CT scans, an MRI does not use ionizing radiation, making it completely safe and highly effective for examining soft tissues, muscles, nerves, and organs. This allows our clinical team to identify abnormalities, tumors, and internal injuries with unparalleled clarity and confidence.

The Patient Journey

1

Safety Screening

You will complete a questionnaire to ensure you have no metal implants that could interfere with the magnet.

2

Preparation

You will change into a gown and remove all jewelry, watches, and metallic objects.

3

The Scan

You will lie on a comfortable bed that glides into the scanner. You will hear loud tapping noises, but you will be given earplugs.

4

Completion

The scan takes 30-45 minutes. Once finished, you can immediately resume all normal activities.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I have an MRI if I have metal in my body?
It depends on the metal. Most modern orthopedic implants are MRI-safe, but pacemakers and certain clips require special clearance.
Is contrast dye always used?
Not always. Contrast dye is only used if the radiologist needs to highlight specific tissues or blood vessels.
Can I eat before my MRI?
Usually, yes. Unless your specific scan (like an abdominal MRI) requires fasting, you can eat and take medications normally.
